use caution with SEO "guarantees"

If an SEO company claims that they can guarantee your website a “#1 ranking on Google”, be very cautious.

Search engine optimization and internet marketing is quite complex and is far from an exact science. In fact, here's a quote from Google's own web site on this subject:

"Beware of SEOs that claim to guarantee rankings, allege a 'special relationship' with Google, or advertise a 'priority submit' to Google. There is no priority submit for Google".

Improving the ranking of your web site in a search engine such as Google requires search engine optimization (SEO). Search engine optimization involves skillfully integrating pertinent keywords into your text, enhancing the web site’s HTML code, increasing the incoming links from other web sites, and a variety of other factors. For existing web sites with poor search engine optimization, I offer two options for SEO services:

Option #1: Web site Analysis only - $350

To discover why your web site may not be ranking prominently in search engine results, I conduct an in-depth analysis of your web site. After this analysis, I provide you with detailed recommendations about the steps you need to take to make the web site more search engine friendly. You and the person in charge of your web site then make these changes at your convenience.

In my web site analysis, I provide the following information and recommendations:

Guidance on writing good text for your web site, including how and where to integrate keywords.
Recommendations for the creation of additional web site pages to expand on existing content.
Suggested changes to specific HTML coding, such as Meta, Title, and Header tags.
Complete web site scans utilizing a variety of professional SEO tools. These scans provide detailed information about keyword structure, competitor success rates, inbound links, and more.
A detailed analysis of two of your company's competitors that rank highly in the search engines. This report includes a study of their web site's inbound links, keyword structure, HTML tags, and more.
Recommendation of alternate keywords that may also prove useful for your web site.
A study of inbound links to your site from other sites, with suggestions as to how to add more to your site.
Periodic reports detailing the site's performance and ranking in Google, Bing, and Yahoo.

I do not perform the following tasks as part of this analysis-only package:

Content development or the rewriting of your web site copy. However, detailed guidance is given as to the best way to approach this.
Implementation of recommended modifications to the web site. Instead, these changes are performed by you and the person in charge of your site.

The web site analysis is limited to static HTML sites of 50 pages or less.

Option #2: Analysis & Site Modifications - Starts at $700

This option includes everything I offer in Option #1, plus implementation of the recommended changes to your web site (requires full access to the web site pages on your server).

Base fee is $700. Final fee is based on the scope of changes and size of web site.
